Trace Echo
Trace echo - now open!
Pittsburgh is home to a rich history of beer and brewing. Trace is honored to be a part of that legacy. We’re also proud of the ways in which we have worked to evolve the beer scene and our efforts to create a safe, welcoming space in Bloomfield.
As we continue this evolution, we are thrilled to announce Trace Echo - our satellite taproom located at 1738 Forbes Ave. in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood (also known as The Bluff).
Echo has a similar vibe and similar offerings to those of Trace Bloomfield on a more intimate level. The small corner lot on Forbes and Miltenberger features a low lit bar, a handful of cozy indoor tables, and a large multi-season outdoor space.
Echo is also the global headquarters for our friends at Ghost Coffee Collab - where they serve a full espresso bar. Eats will be available from a singular, soon-to-be-announced food partner (March 2025).
Per our Co-Founder Dave Kushner, “The source [of Echo] is Trace, but Echo is its own entity,” he says. “It will sound like the source, but it will also sound different.”
Working with our local partners at Epic Development, we preserved as much of the original charm of the more than 100 year old space as possible to build a retro, yet modern neighborhood bar. Windows wrap around the storefront’s corner creating a bright and welcoming environment during the day and a private retreat once the sun sets.
We hope to grow with new area partners and create a space focused on supporting the Uptown community while also bringing the relaxed comfort of Trace to a new location. We officially opened on October 4, 2024. We’re still dialing things in, including a food truck lineup, neighborhood partnerships, events and live music nights. Check back here for updates!
